Parent and child #7
Hi what is your name and whose parent are you? Gayna, Teddy’s mum How long has your child been skating? Teddy starts his second group of lessons on Sunday. He had never done skateboarding before. What do you think about them skateboarding? Are you not worried they might hurt themselves? I love how much Teddy has committed himself to skateboarding. I will be honest, I was concerned at first that he would hurt himself, & he has taken a few tumbles but he gets right back up and Tom is always on hand to help him. What got your child into skateboarding? I saw Tom’s post on Facebook and showed Teddy & he immediately said “can I try it please mum”? We came for the open morning and he was hooked, so we signed him up there & then. Do you think it’s a positive pastime? Even with all the stigma surrounding skateboarding? Definitely! I cannot think of any negatives. Teddy has grown in confidence & this encourages him to make new friends, spend time outdoors & believe in himself. What do you think of Tom the Tic Tac Skate Coach? And how has his presence helped your child regarding skateboarding? Tom is brilliant, very inspirational & passionate. He is amazing with both the children and the parents. His passion about skateboarding is infectious & Tom teaches all the children to respect each other & to believe in themselves. Can you imagine not being around skateboarding you or your child now? No, Teddy practices all the time & I am so glad he has found skateboarding. What do you think you could contribute to the Tic Tac skate school? Happy to help wherever I can. Can put my hand to most things, apart from teaching skateboarding. What valuable life skills do you think your child has learnt from skateboarding?
To never give up, believe in yourself, & team spirit. And finally, would you recommend skateboarding to anyone who has never tried it? Absolutely, Tic Tac skate school all the way.
