Hi what is your name and whose parent are you?
Marie-Mummy to both Bay (10) and Bodhi (6)
How long has your children been skating?
Bay first got on a board when she was around 3 years old having adhoc fun at a skatepark with her Dad. More recently since last year she has really shown more interest thanks to her best friend Daisy and Tom.
Bodhi again first went on a board when he was very young but more recently has been exploring a skateboarding with his sister and Daisy and coached by Tom
What do you think about them skateboarding? Are you not worried they might hurt themselves?
I love that they love skateboarding, it has helped build their confidence, is fun, fab exercise and really friendly. I’ve even started to have ago myself! Not worried too much about them hurting themselves, although it tends to come with skateboarding as it does with most sports.
What got your child into skateboarding? Was it your influence or...
Their father introduced the rascals to skateboarding when they were young and more so recently this has been encouraged by friends and myself, with Tom’s influence too.
Do you think it’s a positive pastime? Even with all the stigma surrounding skateboarding?
Definitely feel skateboarding is a positive pastime as mentioned before its, fun, great exercise and a great confidence builder.
What do you think of Tom the Tic Tac Skate Coach? And how has his presence helped your child regarding skateboarding?
